2 fathers booked for sexual abuse of their daughters
NEW DELHI: In what can be seen as a stigma on the father-daughter relationship, Delhi Police have registered separate complaints against two men for forcing their daughters into illegitimate sexual relationships.
A complaint was lodged on Tuesday by a 30-year-old woman claiming that her father forced her into having a sexual relationship with him. “She claims that she has two children, a 3-year-old and another 6-year-old, with his father and that he has been sexually assaulting her for the past 7-8 years. According to her, her father used to return home in a drunken state and then beat her and her mother. She has now registered a case with help of her brother who had left the house a few years ago,” said a senior police official.
“The father, a driver who is about 58 years old, is absconding. He lives in Shankar Vihar with his family. Medical investigations will be carried out to reveal the truth,” he said.
In another case, a 15-year-old girl has alleged that her father is forcing her into prostitution. The minor has lodged a complaint with the help of the family of her father’s elder brother. “The girl has claimed that her father used to take her to hotels in Paharganj area and force her to sleep with random people. The minor was taken for medical examination last night which confirmed rape. A case has been registered against her father, mother, sister and brother-in-law,” police said. The 43-year-old accused is a tailor in Brahmpuri area.
“She came to our house and revealed that her father uses her for engaging in illegitimate relationships for money and beats her up for disobeying. She told us that these things had happened over the last 3-4 months. They also forced her to quit school after 9th standard,”her cousin said.
