Bhopal man ends life after wife gets late for exam
BHOPAL: A 25-year-old man committed suicide after a dispute with his wife over getting late for an examination in which she had to appear. Incident took place on Monday and a case was registered at Misrod police station.
Police said, Yogendra Tiwari, a native of Sidhi, had come to Bhopal with his wife and was putting up at his uncle’s place in Sahara Estate. Tiwari’s wife had to appear for nursing examination at a centre in Ashoka Garden on Sunday. They reached the centre at 10 am, but learnt that exam started at 8 am.
Police said woman had an admit card, which mentioned timing of exam. Admit card was brought by her husband and the duo somehow believed exam timing was 10 am. It was their negligence, police said.
This led to heated argument between them. They were supposed to return to their native place on Monday, but could not go due to some issue and Tiwari returned late in the night.
Couple again had a fight over the issue after which woman went to sleep, while Tiwari went to the bathroom and hanged himself from the shower rod. Police said couple got married a year ago and the man was unemployed and they were going through financial crisis.
No suicide note has been recovered from spot, cops said.
His uncle in whose house he was staying is a social worker, police said
