Missing officer’s wife seeks PM’s intervention

Even as intensive search operations to locate the Dornier aircraft completed a week on Monday, the family of one of the missing officers hoped for the Prime Minister’s intervention.

“@PMOIndia 8 days since my husband Subash Suresh pilot of CG791 missing. Request your attention #FindSubash” Deepa Subash tweeted, after opening an account on Twitter on Monday. Speaking to The Hindu , the wife of 29-year old Deputy Commandant said, “Though I am satisfied with the search operations by the Coast Guard, it would be reassuring if the Prime Minister himself oversaw the search, as he is the most powerful person in this country.”

Meanwhile, the search continued for the eight day off Karaikal.
