Police action sought for offensive FB post against PM

Agra: Members of BJP’s youth wing in Agra have filed a police complaint against an offensive Facebook post targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which, they alleged, was uploaded by a Delhi-based AAP worker.

Shivam Pachauri, who led the members of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha to Hariparwat police station, alleged Udham Singh Tomar, the man behind the offensive post, was a member of the AAP in New Delhi and sought his immediate arrest.

“One of our volunteers informed us about the post when he spotted it. We forwarded the information to senior party members who ordered us to lodge a complaint against Tomar,” Pachauri said.

SP (city) RK Singh said, “We have received the complaint by BJP’s youth wing. The members claimed that the accused is an AAP volunteer in New Delhi. I have asked the surveillance cell to track the Facebook page from where the (offensive) picture has been shared. An FIR will be lodged only after the identity of the user and source of the post is clear.”
