Caught stealing money, 14-yr-old kills brother
KANPUR: A 14-year-old boy allegedly slit the throat of his ten-year-old brother after being caught stealing money by the latter in Bakewar village in Etawah district on Tuesday.
The accused fled from the scene after committing the crime. The body was recovered by his mother Rekha, when she returned home from a marriage function.
Considering it to be a family issue, the relatives buried the body near Sengur river after the consent of other villagers.
Some one informed the police about the incident. The cops reached the village. The body was exhumed and sent for autopsy.
The police said that Atul had an argument with his brother Chandan, after the latter caught him stealing Rs 2,000 kept in the pocket of their elder brother Jitendra’s trouser. When Chandan was sleeping, Atul slit his throat and escaped, circle officer Raghvendra Singh Rathore said. A case has been registered by the mother, the CO said. Efforts are on nab Atul. Their father Shyam Singh is a labourer in Chennai.
