Man shot at father over land compensation in Noida

GREATER NOIDA: A man shot at his father following dispute over compensation to be by Greater Noida Authority in lieu of land acquired on Monday, the police said that the incident took place in Bisrakh police station area. The victim’s younger son Sachin has lodged a complaint with the police and acting on the complaint, an FIR has been lodged while the victim is battling for his life in a private hospital in Ghaziabad.

According to information several bighas land of one Phire Ram is a native of Haibatpur village, which falls in Bisrakh police station area in Greater Noida. The Greater Noida Authority had acquired, Phire Ram’s land few years back but the Phire Ram was opposing the land acquisition and not obtaining compensation in lieu of his land acquired however his son Kapil was forcing him to lift compensation and give his share of money.

“The victim and his son used to quarrel over the compensation. The matter was once reached to local panchayat but the panchayat failed to settle the issue. The accused Kapil is also habitual drinker and on Monday in inebriate state he reached home and barged into argument with his father over compensation issue. Phire, once again, refuted Kapil’s idea to lift compensation. The matter turned violent and enraged Kapil took out pistol and opened fire on his father,” a senior police official said that the victim sustained bullet and fell off on the ground in pool of blood. The other family members, on hearing gun shots, reached the scene but by the time, the accused Kapil fled from the scene.

The family members rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, where his condition went critical and reffered to a private hospital in Ghaziabad. The police said that the victim is admitted in a private hospital in Ghaziabad. “A bullet has pumped into the victim’s chest and his condition is said to be critical,” the official added that manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
